How long will I need therapy?
This depends on your goals. I provide both short term (10-14 sessions or less, working on a specific issue) and long term therapy for those seeking deeper healing and ongoing healthy balance work/life balance. In your consultation and as I get to know you better, we will discuss any questions around lenght of therapy that you may have. I encourage you to bring up this topic with me at any time.

What can I expect in the first session?
The aim of first session is for me to listen to you and ask you questions so that I get a good understanding of what your life is like and would look like when you are done with therapy. This will help us to set and define specific goals together. If your therapy goals are skill based, I will make sure you leave with some tools you can put to work right away. In the first few sessions, I will also ask questions, to get the information I need, to help you best. I also encourage you to ask any questions you may have.

How much do you charge?
I discuss fees during the consultation call. Fees is payable at the beginning of each session so that we can maximize the therapy hour. I accept cash and checks.

Do you accept insurance?
No. I am not on any insurance panels. I have found that restricts my clients to a certain number of therapy sessions, when they may need more. I can give you monthly receipts, for reimbursement from your insurance company. I recommend finding out what your insurance company offers you for out-of-network therapy services.

Once initial goals are met, client's usually taper down to bimonthly, monthly , quarterly or yearly sessions based on client needs. The decision is made in a collaborative way, and most times in conversation, with me bringing in my professional opinions and discernment, and the client bringing up their changing needs. We decide together, what will be good for them at any given time.
